VestibaDante was set up in 2020 as an auxiliary nucleus for organizing the mock exams that our students take in the three years of high school, which reproduce the tests of the main entrance exams in the country (known in Portuguese as vestibular). The following year, its focus was reassessed and expanded. This came as a response from the school to doubts raised by the students themselves, especially about how to best prepare for the entrance exams.
From then on, VestibaDante dedicated itself to monitoring students individually. The process consists firstly, in conjunction with Dante Careers, of identifying their professional inclinations and checking out the university and course they want to study. The next step is to define study strategies aimed at the best preparation for each type of exam. This action plan involves, generally speaking, a preliminary analysis of the marks obtained in the first mock exams, which are compared with the cut-off marks historically observed for the course in which the student is interested. Then, based on the establishment of goals for progressive improvement in performance in the mock exams, a plan is drawn up with specific learning paths to achieve those goals, which includes gradual qualification in the production of essays.
VestibaDante also runs workshops with students on how to use the platforms of Dante’s partner companies to apply the tests. The aim is to train them in interpreting each test’s results, giving them the autonomy to identify weaknesses and reinforce the study of content that has not yet been consolidated.
Other VestibaDante actions include aligning study strategies with the coordinators of the different curricular components, reviewing the formats of the mock, exams and monitoring the partnerships responsible for administering each test. VestibaDante also organizes the PISA test for the 9th grade of elementary school, as well as providing technical support in the systematization of elementary school diagnostic assessments.
