ELECTIVE SUBJECTS

Quantum physics, environmental conservation, cinema, financial education, entrepreneurship, politics, international relations, architectural language, regional Italian cuisine, sports theories and practices: these are just some of the areas covered by the electives offered to high school students. Since 2018, Dante has offered an even wider range of opportunities for more intense contact with subjects that often appear in the regular curriculum, but are not covered in depth.

There are over 70 options for semester-long courses, taught outside of school hours, and many of them are carried out in partnership with institutions and specialized professionals from the job market. Students in the first and second year of high school must choose at least two electives each semester, and for students in the senior year, who spend more time preparing for university entrance exams, the courses are optional.

STUDENTS HAVE THE CHANCE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT SUBJECTS AND ACTIVITIES THAT ARE OF PARTICULAR INTEREST TO THEM, WHICH BRINGS BENEFITS NOT ONLY IN TERMS OF BROADENING THEIR KNOWLEDGE HORIZONS, BUT ALSO IN THE PROCESS OF DISCOVERING AND DEVELOPING PERSONAL AFFINITIES. AN EXPERIENCE IN AN ELECTIVE CAN BECOME A DECISIVE ELEMENT WHEN CHOOSING A UNIVERSITY CAREER, FOR EXAMPLE. OR SIMPLY BE A PLEASURABLE STIMULUS FOR THE INTELLECT AND POTENTIAL OF YOUNGSTERS FROM DANTE.
